Muffler hits hidden hitch

I installed a Hidden Hitch 1 1/4" reciever about 4 months ago and now the stock muffler bangs up against the reciever. It only happens when I am making a left turn at speed on a bumpy road. I can see where the muffler is hitting the hitch but don't know how stop it from banging against it. Any ideas?

Get a big pair of channellocks and grab hold of the exhaust brackets and bend 'em so the muffler hangs lower(the one mounted to the car is easiest). But, if it started out ok and now it's not, make sure to check that something's not coming loose or that one of the rubber hangers hasn't deteriorated and broken.

Thanks thewrench, I'll give it a go. I know the hanger closest to the bumper is good. Didn't check any others yet.
