sorry about the delay for the pictures, iwon't be able to put them till tomorrow earliest. It wasn't really that hard, all tyou need to do is take the radio apart, disconnect the cd part, take the actually cd playing mechanism off and underneath you find a circuit board with the pins for left channel, right channel and ground marked. The only downside is i have to play a blank cd at the same time and because there are 2 things playing at oncew the volume goes down quite a bit. I found a post on the miata forum where a guy did pretty much the same thing but he connected an extra wire to the pin that tells the radio there is a cd or md or tape or whatever playing, that's my next goal, to find that pin. He also had to install a switch for that wire because on the older radios there was no button for tape/aux but since my radio has that i wouldn't need the switch, just need to give that pin a little bit of juice and i'm laughing

RadioShack BeamIt

They've got a special on it. Little FM transmitter that runs on 2 AAA batts or via supplied cigarette lighter adapter.
Drove for six hours testing it (road trip). Works just fine. (even heard the toll transponder sending the identifier data!)

Costs $29.00 plus tax.
Small, unobtrusive. Worked best sitting on top of the dash (no noise or interferrance) Thinking I might make a door out of the cover plate where the MD is supposed to go on the P5 console. Slip it (BeamIt) and the MD player into the blank DIN space where the MD is supposed to go.

A low co$t solution to the problem. No expense in time and effort and leaving a dangle off the side for the mini adaptor.
