i got bored so i decided to go onto jcwhitney.com. i looked up 2002 protege and just click on a few links here n there. i came across these APC Tails, even thought i've totally lost interest for them, these ones seem different than the normal euro,chromed altezza tail. come take a look here n tell me if anyone's every seen these "red " ones and how they look for the pro, b/c the one pictured is for like an accord or something else.

Looks good, but seems maybe too similar to the stock lights to be worth $170. Wish we could have a pic of them on a Pro.

 

They do look good. But what amazes me is that evrybody call them 98-up, where as they are 99-up. Can't they get that straight? It really confuses the hell out of 2nd gen owners. IMO

By the way. Has anyone actually bought them? I am curious how they look like, because the picture on JCWhitney is from Honda Accord.

Okay now those are so much better than Altezzas everyone else seems so ga-ga over. Hmm, looking at it though, they sure are close to the ones on our P5s already are they not?

 

I emailed JCW to ask if they had any custom tails for the P5, and here's the response I get:

"Thankyou for contacting JCWhitney. I have checked and we do sell the euro tail lenses but for a mazda protege. I do not have a listing for the protege sport wagon. Are the body styles different?"

LMAO...are the body styles the same....ha ha that is just too funny.....

 

Truth be known, they ARE pretty close to the P5 stock tails. However, I think the P5 tails would look nicer if they retained the same layout, but were more like altezzas (without the ugly chrome), i.e. the turn signal and reverse indicators behind the lens rather than on top of it.
