LED Washer Nozel Install Help Needed.
#2
installation should be rather simple. Just connect the wiring of the LED's to your corner lights. You can either connect them so they blink when you turn on your signal or have them lit the whole time. For specific instructions do a search of the website. I am sure that this has been covered before!

OVERPLAYED...
save the 15 or 20 bucks and f*ck that idea, to tell you the truth, they're overplayed... go to wal-mart and buy 2 neon bars and put them under your seats... you'll be much more pleased with the results.. and to wire them, wires can be tucked anywhere under anything plastic ie. your console, and for an additional 8 bucks you can get a splitter that will let you run up to four neon bars in your car... and they get plugged into your cigarette lighter... the windshield LEDs can simply be wired to a switch, or to your turn signals, but trust me, it ain't worth the trouble, not to mention in most states, illegal... think, what the hell purpose do they serve? nothing, so get something to give your car some mood light.. thats my take on the matter

They easy to install. Takes about 30 mins to an hour if you don't know what you're doing, but about 10 mins if you do know what you're doing.
It's easiest with the hood off, or if you cut a larger "hole" to work your fingers in and stuff.

ok ok, so i bashed him, sorry, i got ticketed for the damn things before, so i'm reasonably opposed to the idea... due to my own stupidity. you want the help you're looking for bud, the stock holes are big enough, no need to cut any sheet metal... you can connect the wires directly into your turn signals, wire them to your head lights, or mount them to a kill switch inside your car... you'll have to search the forum on how to do a quality install on something like that, but because the damn led washers may 'look' chrome, they're not, they're made out of white metal... ie, plastic.
a simple way to just install them... as they are more functional than your stock washers is prop the hood open with the car off. pull off the hoses to your windshield sprayers and there are little clips in the bottom of them under your hood, squeeze them and they should either fall out from the top. then feed your wires in through the stock holes and pull them through till the washer leds are snug against the skin of the hood, then slide the appropriate trim pieces, which is usually a rubber washer and a bolt... tighten the bolt by HAND... i can't stress that enough, torquing it in with a wrench will break the stem off and you'll be completely screwed out of the price you payed for them. then once you have them tighten pretty tight, straighten them out astetically as best as you can and tighen them some more. prop the hood back open and connect the hoses back onto your new leds snuggly. then you begin your wiring.. thats the grey area i can't really help with just yet.
now close the hood and supposing that you have them on straight and turn the ignition key and fire the windshield sprayers... you might notice that they either only spray on the bottom part of your windshield or spray CLEARLY to the trunk of your car...lol, it's quite funny, but you have to fix it. now it's hard, but what you should use is a strong sewing needle... preferrably the back end of the needle as it won't break. position the back end of the needle into the sprayer nozzle and aim it to where on the windshield you want it to hit. my set of 'cobra eyes' from preppy boys came with four nozzles... so you will need to aim all four. at this point, once they're aimed, you've got 1/2 the battle complete.
now the grey area that i'm going to need help with, wiring these things. there are three methods that i know of:
1) tieing them into work with your headlights
2) a kill switch mounted under your dash which requires entry through the firewall
3) or you can wire them independently with your turn signals
--mazdaspeedwest has a how too for sidemarkers, complicated but you can trim off what info you need http://www.automediazone.com/pro/sidemarker_how_to.htm
and here is another link to another how too, probably easier, although i can't let you hold taht against me http://www.miata.net/garage/sidemark...n_signals.html
i hope this will help you out and i'm sorry to be ****, IMHO ledz were a phase... i went through them, and now i see every car on the road with them
edit: preppy boys will do a **** to mildly pleasing job for $15 to $40 bucks i'd imagine, or a custom shop somewhere, i'm sure they'd do them
