Question leather?

when i bought my mp5 last month, i saw that one of the cars at one dealer had a leather package... i spoke with someone today at the international auto show about his and they said that it doesnt come with the car as an option but can be bought from the dealer as an aftermarket kit. has anyone seen this or know about it? the leather kit i saw was silver and black. does anyone know the price?

There was a yellow one here in Halifax with a black leather package with yellow baseball stitching like in the Audi TT. The dealer installed it.

Barf!

Plus, they wanted something like $3000 extra for it!!!

Leather!!!

The interior in my MP3 is the ****!!!! Not overdone, just a well balanced combination of cloth and leather, plastic and aluminum. I love it.

Mazda did a great job. Don't let some punk dealership charge you $3000 for some cheap lookin "pleather" (plastic leather for those of you who don't know). If anything, see of you can get the parts which include the seats and the inserts from the MP3.

Check this place out. Someone else posted this somewhere else on this board. The kits look pretty good, and are less than $1000 for front, rear, and door panels. http://www.leatherseats.com./

I got mine from a local shop, so you might just want to take a look at places in your area...just a thought.

A dealer here in Calgary had it as an option with an intake, exhaust, and a few other parts. Its REAL leather, on mine a dark royal blue. I'll never have cloth again! Enough bolsters on the seats to hold you in place.

Thumbs up Leather

Dealer near me has a few with realllllly nice leather; Black and dark gray two tone, very well made, with the Protege5 logo stitched into the leather just below the headrests.

Dude said they cost about $1200 front and back - and for another $300 you can get heated front seats.

Not a bad deal - might do it if I get the scratch.

Love the board - keep it up.
