Your cars a 95' worth maybe $4000 at the most. any hit over 10-20 mph will definatly total it.

I work on cars daily and get payed well for doing it. Just trying to help.

And when the shop that is fixing the damage sees that it was removed before the impact, who knows what your insurance company will tell you. They might blame you and not give you ****.

What do I know.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

very untrue... i was just in an accident around 15-20 maybe a little over .... car now has a completely new paintjob and was fixed... all paid for by my insurance company

Bet you had your reinforcements when you were in the wreck, and the shop you took it to probly just taped off all your trim and door handles and painted it instead of removing everything

I know i'm kinda off the subject but i personally think keeping the reinforcement will help more than you guys think. I have the Erebuni kit and I kept the bumper reinforcement and I was down the highway going about 50 mphs. I hit this big *** white dog ... yes a big white dog and the only thing on my car is that the front bumper is cracked. Almost down the middle but If I were to take out the bumper reinforcement, I may have done alot more damage. THats my opinion

the jspec bumper is designed totally different than the us bumper.. the us bumper and probably the erebuni as well are hollowed out so that you can slide it over the reinforcement... the jspec bumper from what i understand is reinforced throughout the bumper so you'd have to totally gut it out to fit it over the reinforcement thus making the jspec bumper very weak. if someone would look at bruces site you would see what he is talking about

I know FOR A FACT, that the JDM bumper CAN NOT fit over the factory enforcement. It was designed for our car in Japan which DOES NOT have the enforcement. The bumper is almost 3" more shallow than the USDM bumper. The bumper fells much stonger than the USDM bumper too! I met a guy with the JDM first gen bumper on the weekend, he rear ended a civic and ruined its rear bumper, his was only scratched!

Kinda hijacking an old thread here

Does anyone know if the 97/8 JDM bumper also deletes the fiberglass and foam reinforcement? Mine are munched and in need of replacement. If they aren't used with the 97/8 facia then I wouldn't have to replace them.

I thought the previous discussion was in regard to the 95/6 one. I was just making sure it also applied to the 97/8 facia.

That sucks that yours hasn't arrived.

both the 95-96 and 97-98 are interchangable and basically the same bumper with some small difference

umm.. you may have some fitment problems with the 97/8 jdm bumper , plus finding a front lower spoiler is not going to be easy...

i would stick with the 95/6 .. bumper.
life is just easier
