installed diamond-cut floor plates

I installed my aluminum floor plates over the weekend. I think they came out looking OK.

The pedal kit is by Razo, and the wadded up napkins in the cupholder are from Starbucks.

Very nice. Where and how much? Also does the metal go far enough so that your heel is still on the metal b/c my carpet is gettin very worn down in the area near the pedal. Thanks.

Stuff could get underneath, but I will be overlaying plastic mats in the slushy winter months to prevent liquids from getting under there.

Sometimes my clutch foot catches the leading edge of the plate, but I think I can just push the carpet forward to cure that.

I got them from http://www.ompusa.com/pedals.htm, $40 each. One shipped right away, but the other was on backorder for like nine months. I'm not kidding. I guess that's kind of steep, but I really liked the particular pattern on these.

I found some two-part fasteners that have a flathead screw on one side that threads into a short barrel with its own head on the other side. Then I just drilled through the floormats and fastened the metal plates down. It was simple, and if I want to take them out again, the holes in the floormats are practically invisible.
