immobilizers

Are immobilizers better than alarm systems?One immobilizer is PFK Autowatch 329 Ti Immobilizer approved by insurance bureau of canada http://www.vicc.com/english/theftdet...ms.htm.general website is http://www.vicc.com/english/default.htm Isthis immobilizer any good it icludes starter disable fuel cut-off and ecm disable.

the reason they are approved is because any idiot can use one, and the fact they don't take into account user error, like not setting the alarm, as they arm passively.

But any new alarm can be programmed for passive arming, thats the insurance compainies main concern, user error, so if it does it by itself, it should be approved.

Personally, i don't like them, i would much prefer a full alarm system.

Also there is an immobilizer called powerlock.Basically all alarm gps systems can be bypassed except this because it's attached directly to starter.LINK http://www.powerlock.com/
Maybe a siren as well to scare off kiddies
