I need HID retrofit info

Has anyone done an HID retrofit for the P5? I want to get a set made by Phillips and install it my P5, but I don't know how much it will cost, and what type/brand I should get. As well, I don't know anything about how the reflection pattern will be like and whether HID retrofits are legal for road use, I live in Toronto, ON. Any info, comments or advice and maybe some pics would be grealy appreciated.

Phillips makes conversion kits that are universal.

Check them out here:

We're checking out the feasiblity of it now on mine. Really the only thing to wonder about is where you're going to fit the ballasts under the hood.

They are street-legal anywhere. Technically they only sell them for offroad or show purposes. But they are genuine HID lights so they'll be similar to other real HID systems you'd see. In other words, cops won't be able to tell.

[EDIT] It'd be really cool to do two sets on the P5's dual headlamps. But where mine is the single headlamp Protege I'll be doing the H4 conversion[/EDIT]

Hey man Thaks for the link, I checked it out and it indicated there are acutally 2 types of HID: 1st generation and 2nd generation. Dunno the difference between them though. My mom's Camry uses a H4 setup also, and it incorporartes both the high beam and low beam in one bulb with dual filaments so I guess if you upgrade then you lose your high beams. Oh well, with HID why would you need high beams? But having all four bulbs converted to HID is overdoing it, it will be like a stadium haha. Anyways thanks.

The ballasts are Philips and the bulbs are Philips. I'm unsure about the relays. It's another company marketing them but the HID components are Philips.

[EDIT] Here's an install that they did with this system:
