I can't get my bezel out

I have a 2002.5 with the factory alarm attached to the bezel. Here is a pic.

Has anyone gotten it open? There is a wire that is attached to it, so I'm afraid. Please help!

You've got a PM. But anyway - snip the wires, and re-splice 'em later. It's just an LED - no big deal.

If you are talking about the centre console bezel where the radio is, then here are the steps;

1- push down the 2 vents and slowly tug on it and go all the way around (there are just few clips around the perimeter)

2- once the bezel is loosen, there are 2 rods still attached to it, from the fan control and position control

3- to loosen fan rod control, go directly down on driver-side and behind the centre console and unhook it from a gear-like wheel

4- to loosen position control rod, repeat step 3 on opposite hand

5- unplug all wiring harnesses from behind

6- now, the whole centre console is free, but remember to hook the rods back at its original position when re-installing

He's talking about the gauge bezel - the outer black plastic trim around the gauge cluster.

O.k. thanks. To remove Instrument bezel, remove 2 screws at top underside bezel and slightly yank it out from the bottom. There are 2 big clips at the bottom. That's it. I've done it many times already.

even though I've been an electrician apprentice for four years, I still dont know how to splice wires. Can I pull the bezel out without cutting?

even though i find this very hard to believe... cutting and re-splicing wires goes like this:

1) cut the wires
2) strip the ends so the conductor is showing
3) reconnect the ends with wire nut, solder, chicklets, etc..
