Question Custom radio bezel

I am trying to find either a custom carbon fibre radio mounting kit for my 2003 MP5. Or somewhere I can buy a 12"x12" sheet of 1/8 carbon fibre board, so I can make a bezel myself. Anyone know of somewhere that I can find either of these items? I have been doing google searches for hours, and the best thing I found was a place in Belgium, but the shipping was ridiculous.

TIA!

I am a advance Composite tech in the Navy. I can tell you that C/F is not easy to work with, unless you have the right tools. If you do not cut ir right it will splinter, and start to delam. If you get on of the splinters in you, you are in for a bad day, week, etc. Your best bet is to find someone that makes c/f dash kits premade

A guy on sound domain had one made, but I don't remember his name (sorry), otherwise, I would suggest looking in to that. You can get a sticker sheet and use plastic to make one and stick the carbon fiber sticker on top to make it look better, but it's not real carbon fiber. Also, have you asked any one at www.MSProtege.com? That is another site like this one that is very informative.

That is a good idea with the plastic and carbon fiber looking sticker on top. Though I dont know where I would find that kind of laminate? Any ideas?

Hey Irish, what did you mean by 'in for a bad day'? You mean like feeling sick? I am kinda curious now... some kind of chemical reaction?

Outlander

Have you ever brushed up against fiberglass, like inslation? It (FG) its anoying and itches. Normaly you can take a cold shower and the skin cells will tighten up and expell the FG from the skin cell. C/F on other hand goes real deep, it left alone it will cause a real bad infection in about 1 day. You have to go to the Dr to have it removed(cut out). For the average person ( No fromal school, or trade skills) working with C/F should not be tried at home. Not to mention the tools issue, or lack of. I recommend the sheet of cf look-a-like. Much easier to work with, and much cheeper.

This place rocks. Both abs plastic and laminate in one place, perfect!

thanks again.

ps. irish, i think i will stay away from the real cf unless it is premade and bolt on ready... that rash sounds nasty!

I have seen this before and it looks really cool, but a little over done on the carbon fiber side.
