hoods

hi, i own a 02 protege es, and somehow, my hood got all dented in, i've put a few dollars under my hood, nothing to spectacular. but now that i have to replace the hood i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a hood for my car. preferably, light and functional. if anyone could start me off in the right direction, that would be great. i want to start making my hot rod hardcore

I too am interested in an aftermarket hood...

You say "light and functional" so I assume you want a carbon fiber one. I know of three that are made for the Protege:

Wings West (EVO style)

DG Motorsports (OEM style)

APC (contoured style) (cheapest of the C/F)

Erebuni also makes a non-carbon fiber "racing" hood:

btw...got any pics of your pro?

I believe iON Performance also makes one, but their website must be under construction because no products are listed.

They make a great one. I had it on my car when I hit the deer, and the one I'm getting now to replace it is going to be better than the first.
