Question Headrest Monitor in front seats?

Can I run the wires from a headrest monitor inside of the seats if the seats have the airbag system inside? I have 02 P5 and want to get a couple of monitors to put in my front seat headrests, but I have airbag setup inside of them. Is there a place in the seats that the wiring can be ran? If not any suggestions?

He's right, Blue - the factory side-airbags are in the seat bolsters.

I don't think you'll have a problem fishing some wire down in the seat. I mean, the airbag can't take up that much room in there, and if you can keep the wiring on the inside (non-door side, near the center console) side of each seat I think you'd do fine.

as long as your carefull, there's no problem at all. Some airbag harness plugs can be tricky to disconnect, so take your time to figue it out. Usually a spring loaded tab that must be pulled back and then the plug is released.

Also, not sure about Mazda's (don't get to work on them as much as i'd like) but if an airbag plug is disconnected and the key is turned on, the dash airbag light may remain on and a trip to the dealer is required for reset.

I just did a few new 03 Accords this week with headrest systems, the V6 has airbags in the seat and A pillars (the EX only has seat airbags) no problem running wires for the visor monitor or the headrests.
