Yo, I like the gunmetal look too.
Looks good!
I am going to strip the badges off my pro but I am going to get my rims powder coated gunmetal too.
I have a gold pro too but a '92, I think gunmetal goes good with the gold.

I agree though, they look funny. Take the letters back to black.

Just know that eventually the front badge will need repainting - probably, anyway.
I did my badges almost a year ago - July last year. The front one has taken a beating since then. Thousands of miles, sand, road salt - they take their toll for sure, and my paint is peeling.
Only the front though - so it's not the weather, it's just the beating that the front of the car takes. Not much you can do about it. I'd bet that the stock chrome would get pitted and such over time, anyway.
I plan on removing it (hmm...maybe today!), giving it a good sanding and re-painting it black. I never really liked the gunmetal against the black grille on a silver car anyway.
You can see pix of my badges here - when they were just done: http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/sho...&threadid=8374
Hopefully, you'll have better luck than me with your front emblem.

Badges
I think they look good, I did my badges in gun metal as well, I will have to agree on the Protege Badge, either Paint the PROTEGE letters or just get a 323 badge and paint that gun metal just my 2 cents.
