does it matter what tranny a car has if i want to rip the guage cluster out of it for my car???? I want a tach!!!

 

I believe it does....I THINK the PRNDL indicator is on the dash for the Auto's....if I remember correctly.....maybe not....how about someone with a auto confirming or denying this......that would be the only thing I can think of that may be a difference.

of course....if you don't have the tach....you don't have the same wireing harness behind it either....so even if there is no difference from the PHYSICAL standpoint....its not like it would all just plug in and have everything work....

 

well I dont think that is true...I know the dx came with a tach sometimes,just not always,also just because its not on the existing cluster doesnt mean the wires arent there..My Gf got a 2000 Isuzu rodeo,with no radio...it also had no speakers or antenna,but all the speaker wiring was there,along with the factory wiring harness..when I put the radio in all I had to do was install the speakers,and plug in the radio,by the way the PRNDL indicator is not there,I DO know that,plus where im getting the cluster from I have actually seen it,just wanted to know if there is a prob with the internal wiring...thx though Sir Nuke

well there ya go....I wasn't SURE which is why I stated so.....and figured you would want to do so extra research...but NOW....the man has gotten here.....I would trust his word on this stuff...
