tach

hi i got a standard dx and i really need a tachometer. i don't want one of those that go on the dash or something. anyone got suggestions?? thanks.

I have a DX auto and I plan on buying a tach too. I saw one on www.procarparts.com that I might get. where do you plan on putting it? What kind are u looking for?

i really don't understand why in the US they can still make cars that don't have tach, power windows, power doors and stuff like that come standard?? it is so stupid! we aren't living in the 50s or something.

the marketing people are just making the whole car industry over here seem really unadvanced and makind the comsumers look like 'cavemen' by still selling such low tech cars

yea you right. I wasn't going to pay an extra 3k just to have them additional features. My car came without the tach. They said something about an extra 500 for it...LIKE HELL!! I can buy one of my choice and have it install for under 500. Its gettin crazy nowadays.

if i bought a guage cluster with a tach, would i be able to put it in and get everything working fine?

i installed a matrix tach on mine no problems
i mounted it on the dash to the left of the steering wheel

works great
has a little shift light too

you could always get the gauge cluster out of the lx or es and install it...seeing as how it has a tach.
