a rear seat bolt is a good place, make sure to scrape away any paint so you have a bear metal contact patch.

I don't have a protege, but the front seats should be bolted, use one of those bolts to ground it.

there's 2 bolts at the back of the trunk (between the taillights) they work fine for me, and it keeps the grounds nice and short. My amps are mounted on the floor BTW. If yours are on the back seat then yeah, seat belt bolts work fine.

that would be great if the amp was mounted under the seat.
the ground connection should be as close as possible to the amp. If trunk mounted and you don't have a rear seat bolt, crawl under the car and locate the frame rail, then from inside the trunk drill a pilot hole into it and if possible use a nut and bolt, lock washer, loctite, sealer...if a nut and bolt is not possible, then use a heavey duty thick threaded metal screw, lock washer, and sealer. and if no frame rail is usable, then look for the spot welds on the trunk floor, as this usually means a double thick metal and will be better than a signle layer.
