front speaker adapter

I am getting ready to make mdf speaker adapters for focal's that are going into the front doors. They need 3 inchs of clearance from the back of the speaker to the magnet. That will hit the window. If I make the adapter to thick then the surround will hit the door. I am thinking that 3/8 thick will let the magnet clear the window and keep the surround off the door panel. Rather than have to guess and keep redoing it maybe someone knows the thickness. I have the shape that will fit just need to know the thickness. Thanks for your help! (man I am ready to have this finished) Parks853

I got it. It is 1/4 inch. That clears the window and has plenty of room by the door panel.
