front and rear lights
sooo i want to do *something* about the stock front and rear lights on my 99 es (emerald green). getting carbon fiber altezzas is iffy. tho i personally think they would look okay but ehhhhh.... and getting clear corners is fine with me. but there has to be something else!
i've read that some of you guys have "tinted" your lights. how do i actually go about doing this? i really like that look (esp in the front) , but is it at all possible with my stock lights (and with the clear corners)? what products should i use and is it safe that i do it myself (i don't wanna screw it up since i don't have much experience here). meh!!!!!!!

Actually,I tinted my corners and my rears..It looks pretty good...I'll try and post pics...You need 2 things...a can of VHT Night Shades tint paint and some generic clear coat paint...You can get night shades at your local speed shop or order online, just do a search..Take the lense off the car(very easy) and coat lightly with the Night Shades, like a dust coating for first two coats...then even it out smooth with the 3rd(last) coat...then 2 coats of clear coat to make it look shiny...some people have taken apart the lense and painted the inside of the lense...I do NOT recommend this...for one to do this you need to break the seals on the lense and try to reseal yourself..you risk getting moisture inside which will burn ub bulbs like crazy...2 its a lot more permanent than doing the outside...the outside will last for a long time(Ive had mine done about 4 months now in Florida, looks great)..but with some nail polish remover it can be removed....

Possible but I don't how it'll look. Smoked headlights with a clear corner? Err.. maybe if you leave your corners stock and smoke the headlights. Just a thought.

I tinted my tail lights.......
really easy to do and it looks great. Take them off the car (really as as macdaddy said) and for mine I masked off the white (clear) part because I watned it to stay clear. Put 3 coats on the rest and then put a coat of a clearcoat. Cost less then 20$ total.

Do NOT tint the outside lens of your headlights. This is illegal. If you want the smoked headlight look, try painting the inner chrome portion of the headlights, not the chrome reflectors.
