2nd Gen Rear Lights
Ok, has anybody or does anybody who to put lights in the back where the "reflectors" are, i'm gonna be attempting to put some clear LED's in there so it will actually light up... And how do you take that crap off without breaking it???

i'm assuming you've got the whole unit off the car with no problem?
if not, i think from memory there is about 8 nuts to remove and maybe three or four screws. once you've done this it'll come out as a complete unit although it might give you the impression that it isn't gonna come out, just work it and it will.
once you have it, unfortunately it is a sealed unit. i found a pile of tiny screws so i removed them but the front half is sealed to the back half using plastic "tabs" - you'll see what i mean when you get it off.
as a matter of interest, these "tabs" along the top are where the water leaks in causing the infamous "mazda foggy light" syndrome. i sealed the wee holes with grease and drilled some holes in the bottom to let the water drain out - haven't had water in the area since.
i could see no way to remove the back safely but you can sure mount leds in there - you will just have to drill them in from the back.
sorry i couldn't be more help.
