Exhaust

Hey I am looking to get new exhaust. I am looking at these three on ebay. Help me out. Which one. Are they bullshit or do they increase your horse power that much, and how easy are they to install?

Now I don't know much so take whatever I say with a grain of salt. Fomr my understanding horsepower gains from an exhaust system usually invlove changing everything from the Cat back. For best increases usually a header is invloved as well. Include a free flow cat for best result. I always looked at the muffler as the tail end of the project ( no pun intended). If the air can't move freely up to the muffler increasing flow through the muffler probably won't help too much.

I'm prepared to be corrected as this knowledge is gained through speculation and no concrete facts or automotive knowledge.

Good luck with your choice.

PS you usually get what you pay for and $49.00 seems a little low for such big horsepower gains.

I would go with the tunable Bomb exhaust,so you can tone down the noise....as far as price goes dont worry too much about it...I got my ractive for $55,but only because I bought it at HIN...you do get increases from taking off the stock muffler and going with a free flow muffler, but only about 5hp not 12hp...maybe 7 at the flywheel...but a cat-back is more beneficial...I would have done cat back myself, but look at my avatar...I'm a pocket tuner...I had enough in my pocket for the muffler and not a full cat-back,so thats what I'm stuck with for now...but dont get me wrong,I like the small gain and the nice deep tone for a low price

as stated above....you are going to get minimal gains out of just a muffler.....i even think 5 hp is high.......if you really want to get some gains out of changing your exhaust system....at a MINIMUM get a cat back system......if you have to worry about safety inspecitons and smog inspections...this is the way to go.....
