Im trying to install a radio in my 91 DX and Im not having any
luck at all finding an Install kit for the radio which i thought would
be cake is turning into a problem. If anyone can post pictures or
recomend a kit Part # and or model i would apreciate it greatly.

I see some metra kits but thats it and they seem to be general
kits for mazda that u gotta modify. Any part #s Links Brands
pictures of your setups in 1st gens I would apreciate greatly.

Mine fit better without the kit at all.

Just installed it.. Fit Fine. Just used a filler plate underneath it with no kit.

1st gens have a 1.5'' din if your tryin to install a bigger radio. pepboys, and autozone sells the kits for single DIN radio installations. More expensive kits runing $19 are sold at Bestbuy and circuit city. Usually runs bout $14 for the plastic kit, and bout $15 for some wireing harness' , easy and cheap.

Every kit I tried on mine sucked. I found a DX in the yard that had some kind of pocket under the radio and grabbed the radio surround out of it.
