If you realy like you head unit keep it and use an audio control EQS or EQX each give you alot of equalization and speaker level input and 3 RCA outputs for multi amp systems. Check them out on audiocontrol.com

sorry taking so long to reply, site seems slow again.
fusion is surprisingly good, and i say that because i bought my stuff sight unseen (actually it'd be sound unheard). i've heard a few spkrs (diamond, mb quart, jl audio etc) and i have to say that even tho i have the powerplant spkr line, they give the others a run for the money at a fraction of the cost. i blew my tweeter within the first 2 weeks (my fault on the gains tho), but other than that, since the replacement tweets, everything has been cherry.
as for the amps, i feel they give pretty clean power and tho i haven't actually checked the output, my 500w amp (soon to be replaced) is powerful enough to push two 12" jonah lomu's which require a decent amount of juice. this year fusion seems to go out of their way to state the new 2002 models are rated on the money and perhaps even underrated (making me wonder about my model amps). but still, i have no problems whatsoever with any component of my system.
there are some fusion haters out there, but their ignorance will subside as some have already come to respect this company, for quality, productivity, and cost-efficiency.

oh yeah, i like both amps. actually, if i had the money, i'd buy a buch of different amps for different systems. but yeah, fusion powerplant amps are more cost-effective than a lot of mainstream stuff. and since fusion is more spl oriented, i'm sure they give pretty good detail into their amplifiers.
but pg amps are nutz too. just a bit pricey retail.

Thanks for the Fusion input. Is there a good site with Fusion equipment.... so far the only I have found is CD Zone. I am seriously thinking about the powerplant 1000W 4 channel amp. If the power is rated correctly, they are quite a bit cheaper than the Tantrum T600.4 amp. So the powerplant would def. make sense b/c the Powerplant gives way more juice for a cheaper price.

there are a few places that carry fusion. the only two i know of that are pretty reliable would be CD Zone and Van Horn.com.
another place to check might be here: Major Good Deals, altho i haven't had any biz with them, they look pretty okay.
for subs, i would suggest either last yr's 2ch/1000w amp (it'll be pretty cheap) or the new 850w powerplant class d amp.

Thanks onehawaiian.. Van Horn seemed to have the best prices. I am going to go with u on this one and build a FUSION system. One of the main reason why I was going to go with Phoenix Gold is because they weren't mainstream but still made real good components... FUSION seems to be the same with lower retail priceses. I have also heard that they are a big name in Australia and have a good reputation in Car audio over there. I just hope that their components are as good as those of Phoenix Gold.
I have decided on the following -
Powerplant Amp 1400W 4 channel
FS - 6.5" components
RS - 6.5" 3 way
Powerplant 500W 2 Channel
I already have two Rockford punch subs.
I feel like I am taking a big if a risk but I have heard nothing but good stuff about FUSION on the web. Wish me luck. :-)

hehe, now i'm the one who's nervous. the last time i recommended something (a music cd) the person thought it sucked.
but as long as you hook everything up right, your fusion will sound good.
but yeah, good luck!

Thanks for the mention of my site onehawaiian ( http://www.majorgooddeals.com ) I am nearing completion of my car audio section and I will be going back to check my prices and make them more competetive. I would like to offer any of you to email me at majorgooddeals@aol.com for the absolute lowest price on FUSION or you can go through my web site to contact me.
I also want to mention that all my prices include shipping and that I am offering a layaway program.
I was able to hear the Jonah Lomu line at the dealers convention and all I can say is wow.....There was one Jonah 15" playing in the trailer and people were just dropping their jaws. Unbelievable. This Spring I hope to get my vehicle equipped all in Fusion for doing shows. I believe in them that much. Nice ride onehawaiian, I will be checking your web site again to check on your progress. Be sure to tell us what you think of the differences between the Jonah and the power plant series. Will you be dropping in one of those 12" Jonahs in the box to compare them? Kinda looks like you may have done that since your Power Plant is setting next to a new Jonah. Anyways....very nice ride.

www.vanhorn1.com FUSION Prices
I have had prices e-maile to me from Van Horn and finally decided on my FUSION system components. They are pretty good about getting back quickly. Here are the prices from Van Horn, they are best I have found after quite a bit of searching. I am going to use the Coustic 300W amp that I have for my two Rockford punch subs.
1) FP-1404 $259 1400 W 4 Channel Amp
1)FPC-65 $109 6.5" Components
1)FPS-653 $ 59 6.5" Three-way coaxiels
2)FAK-4 $ 50 2 4 Gauge FUSION complete wiring kits
Total $477
To me, this looks like an amazing deal. OneHawaiian, since you are the FUSION expert, what do u think of those prices? Btw, I did check out major good deals website last week, but their FUSION prices were quite a bit higher than Van Horn's. If they have lower prices, I will go there.

everything looks pretty good, but you may wanna swap out the 3way with the 2way 6.5's cause the tweeter seems much higher and may not fit depth-wise. since rear fill is not normally necessary, using the 2way should be just fine (that's what i'm running)
vanhorn, cd zone, and now major good deals have really good communication and i'm sure everyone would be willing to make deals if you ask. the prices i got from cd zone were lower than their advertised web price cause i emailed him to see if there were any "specials". either way, fusion seems to be cost efficient for the quality you get in their line.
shipping has always been an issue as i live in hawaii (air mail), so i always email ppl to see what kind of shipping they could offer me if i bought more than one item (2amps, subs etc.) good communication is always a plus when negotiating prices.

also, are you doing your own install? where are you mounting the amp(s)? amp kits seem like overkill to me, but i guess if you know what you're doing and will do the install yourself then that's cool.
oh yeah, i run 5.25's in my front, but i'm sure the 6.5's comps will fit. what is vanhorn's return policy just in case it doesn't fit (depth)?

yes, I am doing my own install.. with the help of a couple of friends who have done this several times. But FUSION is new to all of us as it is to most people.
I hope the 3-ways will fit, if not I will have to check Van Horn's return policy... thanks for looking out onehawaiian!
Just on a side note... major good deals will give u the same price as Van Horn's, and maybe a bit lower. However, I found this out a bit late as I just placed my order.
