Question Cluster Swap Question

I want to swap my DX cluster for the ES one. I have a 1997 model, which came with a digital odometer. From what I heard around, is that the odometer reading from the cluster to be relpaced will not change to the mileage that I have on my vehicle now. Any one have any feedback regarding whether this is true or not, or any feedback regarding a cluster swap is appreciated. Thank you.

if you replace the gauge cluster, you will change the odometer, therefore changing the mileage reading.

i had to change my cluster because of broken needles... and my mileage reading went from ~10,000 to ~48,000.

ohh well.

another thing is that im not sure if ur DX has the wiring for a cluster tach.. therefore, you would connect it and the tach wouldnt work. dunno though.. that what i believe ive heard before.
