Clear Corners installed!

Damn, that looks smooth!
Now isn't that so much nicer than the big orange blobs? Ever since I installed them on my own car I find other Pros on the road with the orange ones really stick out.
The orange ones just don't look like they match the lines of the car.

Sweet corners! I think they're the same as mine.
Do you find that at some angles or during certain lighting
conditions you can see the amber bulb reflecting in the light housing?
I VERY VERY lightly spray painted the bulbs silver ...now there is no reflection and they still shine amber when turned on.
Check out my WWW for a closeup.

Yeah I've also seen some LED 1157 type bulbs ...they fit in the corner lense and apparently are super bright red ...they don't reflect any colour either since they are clear.
I've seen them at Walmart down here for $10 CDN each.
I figured I would save a few bucks and just use some of the high heat silver paint that I used for my calipers and drums. Don't see any orange whatsoever when they are off.

I heard here in Ontario, Canada they must be either amber or red.
I've seen some guys with hyper whites and green bulbs ...just waiting to get a ticket.
If you are looking for the clear corners they can be found at
www.procarparts.com
If you are getting them shipped to Canada ...watch out for the extra charges ... I ended up paying $160 CDN after paying for the corners, shipping, brokerage charges, then GST and PST ..

I'm going to try the silver paint at some later time, that's a good idea.
I've tried LED bulbs before, I had red ones but returned them. I'm sure you could get amber if you'd like. I didn't them because they made the blinkers blink REALLY fast. Same type of blinking fast when a bulb burnt out. I think the reason they did this was because LEDs put out a lot les electricity than regular indacadescent (sp?) bulbs.

Really ... man that sucks. I would hate to have the bulb flash that fast too. So it was a 1157 type bulb?
I think I was getting a little water in my passenger side turn signal or possibly behind it....every once in a while after washing the car (not during regular rain) I would find that the front turn signal wouldn't work and the back would flash double time ...usually that's because of a defective bulb ...thing is mine would dry out after a few hours and work fine again ...i just took the corners off and sealed the outside with silicone ..i also sealed the wire harness. I haven't washed the car since (4 days ago) so we'll see.

That's not a good sign. I might seal mine up sometime. I don't wanna have the insides of them fog up like people's Altezzas are doing to them.
Yeah, it was a 1157 type LED bulb. On the back of the package it said you had to buy some type of relay for it. I'm assuming its trick the car's electrical system into thinking its giving more power to the bulb or something. I never really looked into it though.
