clear corners

Ive got a 2002 ES and I have noticed that there are plastic orange inserts over thae blinker in the front. I have thought about opening the headlight and taking them out, but... It might look kind of shitty. Has anyone else done this or do you have any suggestions on what I should do?

European models have this:

But that isnt the blinker. Its just a side light.

I have heard that if you take off the lights a heat gun (not too close) will take them right off. I haven't seen this but am going to try when it get a little warmer here to work on my car

opening headlights

In thread

http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/sho...5&pagenumber=2 (did I link this correctly?)

deckedoutmp5 says to throw the headlights in the oven for a while @ low temp. Sounds a lot safer than a heatgun to me. I'm gonna clear out my corners after this cold snap ends.

i was just wondering in order to remove the corner amber lense, do u have to remove the front bumper in order to get the whole light itself out? or can u just unscrew the light, remove it and use the heating method(s) to open the light and then take off the amber lense??.....help!!!.......

I think the US gets the orange corners because of the laws, it's ilegal to remove them I think.

Yes, you can take the reflector out to remove it...although its for a civic, there is a DIY on www.2k1civic.com
I dit it on my GF's civic and its pretty easy, just time consuming!
