Simple Green Foamer

Even under your hood, that green **** is bad-***! use it for anything under the hood. It cleans everything, and makes it look spotless. Theres different types of simple green, i just prefer the "Foamer"

washing engine

did someone actually say go to a car wash and pressure spray the engine bay. i see people doing this left and right, and 1/5 times their car doesn't start, the other 4/5 it stuters and probably fails in the next mile from distributor erossion, flooded plug sockets or shorted electrical path.

WTF, i do it all the time.. never had a problem.. i dont hold down the washer on the components to force the crap out i just give it like a 2 second spray (whole engine bay)

I just used SImple Green on the engine bay of my '88 323 tonight and it came up nice and clean. I let it sit for a couple of minutes and used a brush to scrub everything. Only thing it did not get out was some of the undercoating that was in the engine bay.

Talking Castrol Engine Degreaser

After reading some suggestions on this board I figured I would do some degreasing by hand versus power washing. It takes a little longer but it really does shine up your engine with little effort! I have some before and after pics from my site if anyone is interested!

Info on my engine degreasing

HAHAHAHA!!! I do not take my Protege off-road, did that once and that was it for me!! Itzkcatz as far as what I used on my engine: Castrol Super Clean Tough Task Cleaner Degreaser.... It's in a tall purple spray bottle and I just sprayed a spot and rubbed the grease away!! For the smaller areas (Mazda logo etc. I used an old toothbrush...) VagaBond those pics would be nice to see!!! can't wait!

Thanks for the comments!
