Cool Can't see cup holders at night

I installed some flat red L.E.D.s into the cup holders so I could find them at night. I installed them in the center bottem and hooked them up to the lights, so they are only on when the lights are on. they also dim. I wish that I had mounted them up against the back wall of the cup holder, but oh well.

i was planning on doing something extremely similar except i was going to mount a little neon tube instead in that beack section where the cup holder door goes(theres a little velvet thing there or something). but ill decide that later. How did you do it?! please explain. have any pics of how you installed it or custom did it. doesnt seem too hard. thanks. please post any pics

Could be that the "dimmer" is actualy a frequency modulator if the other lights in the dash a LED types. Low freq = less light. probably not, but...

another way you could light them up is to remove the insert that IS the cup holders......cut slots in them and then mount your light, be it neon or what ever to the inside of the console....then when the light is on it will shine through the slots into the cup holders and illuminate them

I read somewhere that we could get some rear cupholders from the familia through Corksport to go on the panel on the back of our console. Has anyone else heard or tried this?

There's a change holder next to the fog lights switch! (Panel dimmer if your car is not equipped with fog lights.)
