why not just get one of these? I love the little triangle over the W. that's the worst knock-off I've ever seen!

I can't even believe that s*it. I guess that a sucker is born every day.

Also, The stock HU in a P5(not sure about other Pro's) is made by none other that Nakamichi(sp?), one of the very best.

what about JDL? anybody know of any knock off of a knock off? like a company that wanted to one up the idiots who got Kingwood off of Kenwood, and name themselves Kendud, or Kantwood? ha, never knew that a faucet company (kohler) made subs and amplifiers

P.S.... here's a little quote I remember about Bose:

No highs,
no lows,

anyone ever heard of JBC? That's just as bad of a knockoff, but then to cover it up, the jbc stands for "Just Be Cool". That's some funny ****!

just installed the boss 6.5's but i didn't have time to install the front blaukpunts i got...but i don't see why people bash these speakers without giving them a hear....So many people on this board are so quick to jump on the bandwagon and not think for themselves....i'm not saying they are the best speakers in the world but they are a great improovement over stock....good high's but i'm sure they'll sound better once i install the front speakers and the kenwood hu. 1

the money that you spent on those could have been applied toward a better pair. Trust me, when those don't sound great anymore due to inferior materials, or when you get used to the sound and you hear a better pair that you want to buy, you'll regret having purchased them.

That might be the case but like i said before i'm not saying these are the best speakers but the way people bash them on the forum it would seem like the stock speakers are better. Why don't u humor the subject for me.....Here are the boss Neo622 specs...
Impedance 4 ohms
Power Handling 350 Watts
Magnet High Density Neodymium
Frequency Responce 65-20 Khz
Cone Metallic injection
tweeter 1" titanium dome

cost 36$

I'm not trying to argue with you at all you said i could've gotten something way better for the price i got them for so i would like to be educated

By the way these are 2-way 6.5 speakers for the rear deck of my 2002 Es Sedan....

I'm never one to bash, but I'm just saying that you shouldn't have gotten them. First of all, you say the power handling is 350 watts. That's obviously a max power rating. This means that the kingwood corporation was able to push 350 watts into them for .000001 seconds before they caught on fire. You need to look at continous (or RMS) power handling. If they don't have an RMS rating, then that supports my fact that you shouldn't buy them. An RMS rating of at least 40 watts will be decent. Secondly, there are many other factors that determine how well a speaker will sound and how long it will last. To name a few: The layers of copper in the voice coil, the winding of the coil- edge wound (flat wire) or traditional wound (rounded wire), the material used for the voice coil former - in this case probably paper or cardboard as opposed to plastic or metal, the sensetivity of the speaker (rated in dB), the cone material's ability to be light and move fast but not compromise or change shape during play, the surround material's ability to remain strong and prevent shifting of the cone but not be so heavy and stiff that it prevents free movement of the cone, the size of the magnet (in ounces), and so on and so on. Anyone in the car stereo industry will tell you not to buy inferior products, no matter how good of a deal you get (and that's why I'm telling you this). If you came into my shop, I'd love you, because you're one of the guys who spends $36 on speakers that the shop pays $10 for, and we make 300% profit margin on it. I'm not trying to be rude or be a dick or anything, I'm just trying to tell you why purchasing speakers like those isn't a great idea. For around $40 or $50, you could have gone to best buy or pretty much any retailer to pick up a set of 2 way pioneer's or kenwoods or sonys that would put those kingwoods to shame.

Oh and by the way, stock speakers typically cost the manufacturer anywhere between $.75 and $4 to make, so they are an improvement over the stockers.

I actually was asking if he recommended a certain Kenwood or Sony. But to get back to my argument, These speakers are 175 RMS,(you said 40 is decent) So i would take it these are decent. SPL 1 Watt/1 meter: 94 dB (How does the DB hold up against other Makers such as kenwood,sony....etc).But anywayz the Voice Coil for these speakers is 1" aluminum.(Not Paper or Cardboard Like you Said) What do better speakers use? You keep on saying inferior materials but give me an example. (I've looked up Kenwood speakers and they also use aluminum voice coils.)Here are a description of the materials for this speaker: Chrome plated basket - Butyl rubber surround - Metal grilles - Ferro fluid enhancedTHESE RIPPER MODELS USE NEODYMIUM, A SUPERIOR COMPOUND WITH HIGH MAGNETIC FLUX DENSITY, TO CREATE A THIN MAGNET STRUCTURE WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF A CONVENTIONAL, DEEP B.
But anywayz just for the curious here are pics of the boss speakers

And just for ***** and giggles here's a pic of the stock speaker

First let me say, I am no expert in Car Audio. I know what I know but, I still ask questions.

That magnets on those speakers are tiny. The magnet on my Infinity 5 1/4's are bigger than those. To see what I mean, go to EBay and search the 6 1/2" speakers and look for pictures. I highly doubt those speakers will be able to create deep bass.

Just my opinion.
