autotek or fusion or ... multichannel amp?

which way to go??

i want to power my front components and rear coaxials with a budgetpriced multichannel amp. i have read other threads and it seems like autotek or fusion seem pretty reasonable in "bang for buck ness"

i have mb quart QM215.03cx components in the front and mb quart dkd 116 coaxials in the back. the "power handling range" for both max out at 120 and 100 respectively. i dont know if i consider those numbers the RMS values. anyways this is another issue.

here are the amps im looking at:

fusion powerplant amp (FP4500X ) for $132
giving 65 W x 4 @ 4 ohms

fusion powerplant amp (FP41000X ) for $226
giving 125 W x4 at 4 ohms

autotek ss400.4 for $189
giving 75 W x 4 @ 4 ohms

autotek sx 475 for $189
giving 75 Wx 4 @ 4 ohms

autotek ss600.4 for $219
giving 100W x 4 @ 4 ohms

autotek sx4160 for $249
giving 100W x 4 @ 4 ohms

any input would be greatly appreciated. other suggestions for alternative amps would help too. thanx all.

p.s. also im running a pioneer 10 in a vented box powered by a RF punch 250a2 amp. thinking of upgrading both.

i run fusion, but i love autotek too. i wouldn't be able to tell you which way to go. i have the fp41000x powering my spkrs and it seems to be doing the job just fine. autotek makes great amps too and the prices seem very good.

if you go fusion, check with mike at CD Zone and ask him for the exact model# amp. they should be running the newer line now so u might be able to get a better deal on last yrs models. you can also check out Major Good Deals and see if he'll work out good fusion prices with you (2001 models)

as for autotek, you will get a great amp at a great price. either way you'll be fine as both lines are good. (imo)

cool thanks onehawaiian!

yeah my friend had a beat shop a while back and he swore by autotek when it came to nonmainstream solid amps. SOLID!!!
i dont know if it was in this forum or another, but someone claimed that they autotek had been bought out by pyramid *shudder*

okay but thanks again.

yeah, my friend has been keeping me posted on the autotek amps. and oddly enough he was mentioning something about the ma audio amp doing 5000w? hehe, it's kinda weird how both of you are on the same wave...

he's running all autotek except his frontstage which is gs designs. he knows his **** and i like the fact that he explains things to idiots like me in layman's terms.

slip- yeah, pick the one that you like cause for the price you're paying either or would do you just fine.

okay anyhoo!

blue ledz, thanks for squashing that horrible rumor about autotek & pyramid. and as for the autotek amps im interested here are the ones that im eyeing: (minus the SS ones thanks to your opinion)

autotek sx475, sx4160, mx4500, xs900.4, sx5750

thanks alot, bro.

slip- thanks for checking out my ride/system. funny you should ask tho, cause i just got my new box done today and will post pics tomorrow. i kinda like the way it looks, but i'll let you guys be the judge.

as for autotek, i seriously LOVE the stealth amps. not only does it deliver clean power, but for installs they are top notch! because they are "stealth" type amps, it'll give you a sweeeeet and "flushed" install. my friend has one in his box (along with hismassive sub and cap) behind the seat of his toyota truck. one of the nicest truck installs/boxes i've ever seen.

the ss amps are decent amps for the low cost. my brother is running the supersport class d amp and it makes my "old" fusion powerplant sing. he'll be adding the supersport 4ch later to give his mids more juice. (replacing the 5ch sony xplod amp)
