APC M3 Style Mirrors??

APC mirrors
I have them, check out photos in the link in my signature. I have the carbon fiber ones on a 99 Protégé looks are cool but not as functional as OEM. They are power in that the have an option for a LEDs that light up however you wire it, i.e. with parking lights or the blinker. As far as I know YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR POWER ADJUSTMENT CONTROL. The difference is plane mirrors manual adjustment $90.00 or with LEDs and manual adjustment for $190.00. In black, carbon, or chrome. Also they have tint film on the mirrors that keep headlights and sun from blinding you. If you install them the mounting bolts are a little on the long side and be sure to re-use the rubber gasket on the outside so the mirrors don't vibrate or allow air to get in and cause a whistle at high speeds. Lastly they will not fold so be prepared to have them missed up every time you park in a tight parking garage or go though a car wash.

also, do they have a tendancy to go out of alignment often? i wouldn't want to have to continually put the window down to adjust the mirrors, especially if it's cold out side.

"Missed Up'
Yes I mean they be out of alignment from the brushes if you don't use a brush less car wash which you should use any-who. And if someone or thing hits them hard enough they have these heavy springs in them so they don't actually get ripped off the car. But the springs are so damn heavily wound that its hell getting the mirror back into the seats. I'll take a digital picture of them tonight and post it to this thread.

I havent had to adjust the mirrors since I installed them a couple of months ago. So they stay pretty good. I dont do anything but brushless or my own hand for car washes so I dont know about what a brush wash would do to it. I like them, they look good. I've actually only got a set of black m3 style mirrors in stock right now but I should be able to get some others pretty quickly. On our cars, I think the blacks would be good for painting to match your car color fully (instead of the partial we have on our Protege5s). Oh, and I actually think these only work on the 2000 & ups (Not sure if APC has ones for the olders)

APC M3 Mirrors on a 99 Pro

Your right the M3 mirrors from APC are for 00' and up but according to my Mazda Parts manual 99-01 share the same mirrors so I got them and they bolted right up and work fine.

They will fit on any protege, onlything is, you would have to do some wireing to make them remotly movable. Id just attatch them and move them with my hands (since i have a DX with no pwr mirrors)
But if you could get them hooked up that would be tight im just too lazy
