So I did my interior painting, and I'm really happy with it. I even removed the glove box latch and painted that today (I hate for a spray can to still have paint in it )

I REALLY want to make the rings around the dash vents (near the doors) the same color. The problem is, the rings are not removeable, and it's too much work and too much risk for me to mask and spray in the car, or use a brush.

So I figured I could buy the trim pieces from a dash kit, and paint them up before installing them - seemed like a good idea, except - NO ONE WILL SELL JUST THE RINGS - I'd have to buy a whole kit, and I'm not spending $200 or more for two pieces of the kit.

HOWEVER - almost every place I spoke to said that they WOULD sell me the pieces as replacements if I had bought a kit from them originally. Sounds dumb to me, but I even tried lying to two places, and they hung up on me after I wasn't in their computer. Heehee.

So - what I need is for someone with one of these dash kits to hook me up, and call the place they bought it from and get a price for replacement vent pieces. I'd pay for them, plus whatever it costs to ship them to me (can't be much), plus a few extra bucks for your trouble, if necessary. I don't care what color the dash kit is, because I'm gonna paint it anyway. As long as the price is reasonable, I'm buying.

Also - if anyone knows of a place that will "part-out" a dash kit like this, please let me know so I can contact them and avoid all this mess.

Yeah, probably - but I'm still shelling out about $70 (the Euro conversion is almost the same as the US Dollar) - kinda steep.

Thanks for the effort, man - I think the dash kit rings will be cheaper than that.

 

True...whoever is selling those is making a ton of money.
