I have one

I haven't had my 7893 very long, but there is definitely a noticeable difference in sound with that 27 watts RMS & 60 watts max pumping through the system. Next update will be Type-R 5-1/4" Component System and Type-R 6x9's!!!!! It's gonna be awesome. I'm actually contemplating eventually putting 5-1/4" in the rear doors too, since there are places for mounting them, it's just all the work of that extra wiring. LOL SO that will be later, if it happens. I am also going to DYNAMAT my front doors, because something seems to be up with them. I think Mazda doors are extra-thin or something.

i have the alpine 7893 model, and absolutly love it.
the only thing that bugs me is the unit gets way to hot, i guess with the internal amp in it, but wow it gets how. no problems out of it and my buddy at the audio shop swears that he's had no problems with returns on those models.
no doubt that the front doors will have 2 be dynomated, i did mine and still sounds like it needs more!
but overall, i love it.

I know what you mean with the Dynamat I did the inside and out skin of the doo and it didn't do dick. The door needs to be braced.

All Alpines Run hot, always have as long as i've known them the only returns we've seen is we've had 3 swing faces come back for the motor dying. That was over over 5 months and out of probably 100 alpines. Other then that they ave been bullit proof.
