Anti-theft measures

Well, since you guys are being soooo helpful...

I was curious to know what anti-theft devices your cars are equipped with. I was thinking of going with the stock Mazda ignition-kill (mostly because the price was pretty good... I don't know if it's any good).

In addition to that, I also want to use the Auto-Lock clutch/brake lock. Do any of you use a device like that? Is it a pain to install?

Sorry if I'm being naggy with the questions lately, but I'm really, really close to making my decision, and you can never have TMI at a time like this, LOL...

Thanks...

I used to use that brake-lock on my old Accord. Thing was nothing but a pain to install/remove, plus it's not that visible from the outside. Switched to the Club after, easy to install, and was small enough to fit in the door pocket.

I've got a Clifford alarm now with ignition kill. Car's still here, so cant complain.

From what I have heard, the stock alarm does not have a kill switch to the starter? But I might be wrong.

I put in a good after-market one from compustar...but the best bet is to read through all of the post on alarms.

yo man

i wouldn't go with anything fromt eh factory. you're better off with a wal mart alarm.

i got a viper 550 esp. witht he window roll up feature, 2 sirens on the inside of the car(160 db's each), microphone for detecting the sound of glass(tapping or breaking) and starter kill. aint much else you can do though, becuase if somebody really wants somthing you got, they can get it.

i've been lucky so far.
