ahh a cab hit my g/f when she was backing up and scratched the bumper, we are just wondering how easy it would be to paint it with touch up?? and some of the sacratches are a wee bit deep can we fill it then paint it or anything?? what can we do we don't really wanna pay alot of money we can't afford it right now for now we may have to touch up it then get it done right down the road..

your GF hit a cab backing up? or the cab was backing up and hit her??? anyways filling in deep scratches with touchup paint doesn't work too well, but at least it will prevent corosion

Who's fault was it? If the dammage is quite extensive, you should be looking to your insurance company.

well she was backing up in a parking lot, was looking to see if anyone was around and the cab whipped arouund acorner and scratched the bumper, and she works in insurance and said because it was in a parking lot the is 50/50 fault and we can't afford the insurance going up we need that as much as we both need a bullet in the head... if we still lived in BC it wouldn't be a huge deal..

is there any thing that can fill the scratch then paint over, it's not super deep but if we jsut touched up I think you would notice it still just a little..

Take it to a good body shot and get a quote and or suggestion on what you should do. Are scratches in just one location?

For what it is worth a DIY solution is going to look like hell, unless you have some experience in fixing this kind of thing. Maxx Mazda and his dad did some really nice fixing on his P5 after someone keyed the **** out of it. You might talk to him.

Not sure how Insurance works in Canada but down here you girl friend would be 100% at fault. In fact in one state it is illegal to back out of a driveway

I'm not too sure. But I know that it is fairly common for the police to say no fault when an accident happens in a parking lot.

I don't think she was backing out of a driveway on to a street, but a parking spot in a lot.

I think that all accidents involving cab drivers should be automatically the fault of the cabbie. Hell, go with the odds.
