aftermarket stereos

does anyone know if there is a company that makes dashkits for aftermarket stereo installation for '02 proteges? i've looked all over, and haven't found one! this seems odd to me. has no protege owner in recent history installed an aftermarket stereo? everything about the p5 has met or exceeded my expectations except this. i mean, did mazda really think that this pathetic stock stereo/cd player was adequate?

THIS thread really belongs in the car audio section...so its going there.

chances are .... if you can't get it thourgh cruchfields....they aren't made yet.....

do NOT worry if you can't find it on a web site though...you MAY have to call them to get the latest stuff.

well I had to go and look....and didn't find it listed such that you could just BUY the install kit...however, I did see which Head Units would fit and ALL of them come with an install kit free!

Try www.autosoundgear.com. That is where everyone else is going. I ordered my harness from them but I know they sell a mounting kit. Either that or get a pocket from an MP3.

Metra sells a kit. It is a generic kit for mazdas toyotas, saabs and something else. It has multiple trim rings so you can get it to fit in your car. The pics have been posted here multiple times so I'm not going to post 'em again. Try searching.
