aftermarket seats

i know this has been discussed before, but i can't find exactly what i want to find out.

I want to buy an aftermarket seat for the 00 pro, but i want it to still be able to slide back and forth and mount snugly with the stock seatbelt. do i need to get a bracket that is made for that seat specifically? or is the bracket car specific and the sliders seat specific?

somebody give me the lowdown on exactly what i would need to put in one driver's side aftermarket seat (konig/tenzo/arospeed style) and still retain the ability to slide? thanks in advance.

Hmm...have you considered just redoing the seats? www.autoleathers.com has tons of options and the seats are quite affordable. Just my opinion!

All of those seats you mentioned would be comfortable with the stock seatbelt. You would most definately have to get a custom bracket made. You could either try to make one yourself or spend $80 bucks per seat to have them made. I *believe* all those seats have the cabapability to slide, but not all of them recline. You could just go to the websites to find out that info, but I highly doubt they have brackets for your car.

I actually just bought 2 Simota Racing Seats and they were much cheaper than name brand stuff. I just couldn't beat the price I got them for and they already had the custom brackets made for my car.

also. for anyone with aftermarket seats, how did you mount the seatbelt? isn't it attached to the stock seat?

I bought them used about a week ago. The guy had the brackets custom made. He said it cost him $150 to have them made which sounds about right. The seats aren't bad at all and I am very happy with them, especially for the price.

The seatbelt hooks up to the same bolts that the oem seatbelt and seat bolt into.

I just used the stock brackets for my seats. The back 2 holes line up, except for one side which you have to dremel a little. As for the front holes they are about 2 inches off so I just used a small bracket. All you need is 2 holes, one to bolt to the existing stock seat bracket and the other to bolt to the seat. Was alot easier than I thought.

The 2nd page pics will show one seat mounted
