2003 P5 radio wiring diagram needed.

Hi folks,

I recently bought a 2003 P5 with the in-dash 6 disk and tape option. I don't own a single tape and will probably never need the tape player. Has anyone thought of a way to remove the tape module and use the wiring to, say, control an external player or take the input from one? The radio should "see" the tape module as an external input. Any thoughts on this?

PS- just did a search on the furum and found lots of posts about this.... haas anyone actually DONE it?
