Exhausts at dealers

Does anyone know if the exhausts they are selling at the Mazda dealers are Mazdaspeed exhausts or Iman Knockov? They're stainless steel but they are pricey if they're not the real thing. Let me know. Thanks MedicNYS

Hey Perfomance thanks for the info. Do you have them in stock? Just to make sure which dealer it is, you're from Performance Mazda?

Mazdaspeed's for Canada are only coming in the Orange colour, Black and Orange for the U.S. market. "Medicnys" exhausts are always in stock usually two to three units. And yes I am from Performance Mazda.

Hi,

what's the diff between the 2nd and 1st generation exhausts?

The ones ppl have been talking about on this board for that past few months, are those 1st or 2nd gen?

Thx

the first generation exhausts are the ones with the round tip like the one on the MP3, the second gen are an oval tip. You will find the first gens to be buzzy on the highway while the second gens are more throaty sounding

I can't see the tip of the exhaust you would have to hold it upright to see if the opening is flat or slanted.

Ya, I like the looks and the sound when my engine is cold, but as soon as it warms up the muffler is too loud at highway speeds. I don't mind generally, but when going on long trip with the windows closed, it's too much. I would be very interested to see a picture of the 2nd gen.

Oh yeah, are you saying that the muffler I have is the one that was installed on the MP3s? I didnt think it was and I was a bit worried about clearance issue with the MP3 rear skirt.
