AEM Short ram air
Can anyone tell me if I need to install a bypass valve with my AEM short ram? It goes down low in the engine compartment and I don't know if I should get the bypass. Despite the name it really goes down low into the engine compartment, down around the bottom of the rad. AEM's website doesn't have an application for it. Let me know. Thanks Medicnys.

It would seem to me that a bypass valve made by AEM should work with an intake by the same company.
As to your other question (do you need one...) I think that if you want to just bolt it in and leave it, then yes, buy one ASAP. Someone with an intake mod sucked up a puddle a few weeks ago and hydrolocked his engine - very bad news.
On the other hand, if you don't mind removing it for the winter, then you could save a bit of $$$ and not be bothered.
My $0.02
