baltimore md has a NO pursuit policy!!! if an officer is starting a pursuit he/she is not allowed by policy to exced more then 10 mph over the posted limit.
im not kidding it is offical policy... this is not an urban myth or anything.

And if your in P.G. County, wear like 3 pairs of jeans, 4 seat shirts and get ready for a good *** whipping...lol

I believe that no pursuit policy is and I don't even live in MD but I pass through it all the time. Try Breakin the law and have a cop follow you. But while your at it, Try reminding the officier about the No pursuit policy. LOL You think he will slow down so u can get away free? I bet you he will remind you about the Pull over before I ram your car off the road Policy. LoL

while it is true that in the CITY, they cannot chase you at high speeds, however...the FOX-TROT helicopters can still see your ***, and if you leave the city, other jurisdictions WILL bust your ***.

Actually, it makes a lot of sense. For the pass few years, accidents involving high speed chases has increased. Because of this, they are now trying to limit the amount of accidents and deaths relating to chases.

All in all, they are trying to protect more lives and theirs.

Several large cities have a no pursuit policy, its for insurance reasons mostly. That doesn't stop them from issuing tickets or arrests if the get your licence #

LMAO!!

For the past few years?!?? Try the past few decades! This isn't anything new. Police officiers have been doing this for years. Having high speed chases and dangering themselves and pedestrains in the process. IT hasn't increased n the last few years. You gotta be kidding me. In the last few years it has been reconized more cause of various situations. (FF&2F2F) You think this lil policy is going to make a difference???? Yea it looks good on paper. LOL In reality it don't mean ****. If the Cops is chasing a suspect they will still pursue that suspect until they are caught! Of course the suspect will go over the speed limit if he is being chased and the cop will proceed to follow him. lol No matter what city. And I've seen this n person too.

lol Come to think about it, I saw this chase outside my window a few weeks ago. LOL This clown driving a older model civic( 88 or 89 )was being chased by the cops. He was being chased for blocks. This idiot turns into my complex where it was a dead END. LMAO!!! He hops out the car and started to run. The cop followed him. The guys girlfriend was left n teh car and she got n the drivers seat and drove off. lol Long story short, he was caught and I heard they caught her down the road.

It has more to do with chases in L.A. that have ended badly recently and brought bad publicity. You can bet police departments in large urban areas (i.e. DC, etc) are going to feel the heat to avoid lawsuits.

AK you aren't in MD...

My friend was being chased by a police for street racing, but he got away. You wanna know why? He said the officer slowed down. Lucky for him, it was dark and the officer couldn't get a positive tag number.

VA/NY and MD are 2 totally different states. It is also written in paper now so officers can get repromanded and punished for breaking this rule.
