Tokico/Beats vs. Mazdaspeeds/Eibachs

Yesterday I swapped out the old Mazdaspeed adjustables and Eibachs for the MP3 Tokico Blues and Racing Beat springs and I upgraded to the AWR 19mm rear bar with endlinks! the difference is very noticeable! Before, I had the Mazdaspeeds on the SOFTEST setting and yes while it cornered like a race car I had all kinds of other junk going on. Clunks in the back, squishy air noises from the rear struts, an all around JARRING Chiropractic's Dream ride (and I'm 23 by the way and don't mind a firm suspension - I had the old junk on for 2 years).

With the new gear it's all GRAVY. I feel like I'm riding in a Towncar compared to before. It still handles great thanks to the AWR swaybar and links (stock end links are SHITTY) pared up with the Sport20 Strut Bar and the lopro tires - not as awesome as before but still very very good.

I'm very impressed by the AWR stuff too. Everything is very well crafted and professional - it figures because of their racing backround. All in all I'm very happy about my ride's new ride

Racing Beat Springs: Trade Apexi S-AFC minus $100
MP3 Tokico Blues: $480 shipped
AWR 19mm: $145
End Links: $63

old stuff:
Mazdaspeed Adj. Struts: $720
Eibach Pro-Kit Springs: $260

If anyone is interested in the Mazdaspeeds I would be willing to part wth them (for the right price ) They have approx 25K on them

How much were you looking to get for the Mazdaspeeds? And do you like the MP3 Tokicos that much better than the mazdaspeeds? I have racing beat springs on stock struts with the 19mm bar, and need replacement struts. What's your opinion on the mazdaspeeds?

At first I really loved the MS struts. Once I took a road trip from Amarillo Tx through Roswell NM with some really twisty sections and it was so much fun - I mean we put them at a stiffer setting and we were blasting through corners at 75mph where the suggested speed was 45. But as time wore on I just got tired of the rough ride around town. Like I said there were some squisy noises from the rears and some clunks - not sure if that was the struts or what. Could have been my endlinks which were shot to hell or I also noticed when I put the new MP3 bumpstops in that the old bumpstops hadn't been trimmed so that could have been a reason for a less than ideal ride.

Anyways, I told another guy who was interested from protege5.com I'd sell them for $200, but before I agree to sell them I will take them to a Midas or an import shop so someone else can inspect them and make sure everythings up to par. Let me know if you're interested

Absolutely. If you don't get someone to pick them up, I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands at that price.

Ok, folks who are interested in the MS struts listen up:

I'm only selling the fronts because the rears are blown IMO, they compress way too easy and make some interesting gurgleing sounds. The fronts are good, so get your hands on some rears and you'll have a set. Make me an offer.
