Question Suspension

The wife and I just bought the P5 in midnight blue with leather. I love the car but think the ride is a little stiff. What I mean if we run over a pebble we feel it. I drove a BMW 525 wagon and the ride was very smooth and the steptronic transmission was way cool. This was the nicest car in comparison within our budget. Any suggestions on enhancing the ride? Need tint recommendations as well as information on things I can do to enhance the hp without voiding any warranty. I am not allowed to thug up the car as she puts it. She is moving her rubber duck collection on to the car. We cannot **** off the DuckyZoom girl.

DuckyZoom, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

the two best mods to get you a few more duckies under your hood would be an intake and a new free flowing exhaust. BUT, I am not sure what you mean by "thugging" up the car.....

As far as the ride....can't help you there....there are plenty of differnt spring sets out there..but they are lowering springs and springs to IMPROVE the handling...which translates to making the suspension STIFFER...not what you had in mind. Keep this in mind, the Protege (especially the MP3 AND P5) can out handle ANY car in its class...and many many cars that cost as much as 6 times or more as much. THAT is a fact.....and its suspension is the root of that.....and if ANY car is going to take on that duty....its going to be a LITTLE stiff.

Thugging it up

Not sure if this is a response to Sir Nuke but here it goes.

Thanks for the welcome. The wife needs a stealth vehicle, she has the need to speed and tailgate. I want to keep the outside looking like a stock grocery getter. Thugging in her eyes is painting the calipers, neon washer sprayers. I am not much on having a really loud exhaust system. I want what is best for engine Flow.
All I want to do as far as thugging is maybe some purple neon to light up the Mazda emblem on the front of the grill. I passed by her on the road at night while looking for her.

What is "Thugging" a Mazda? Please don't use these two words in a sentence again.

Neon squirters and a neon light behind the emblem would be catogorized as "ricing"
