Question strut problem Need Advice

Well here's the story. I got my car lowerd last week with eibach springs and put some 17" 17x7 wheels with 40mm offset. According to rishies recipie this is barely making it. I have a full car after work as i drive 4 girls home from work and i can hear my wheels rubbing against My wings west fender flare.(mostly when i turn) The flare comes down about half an inch below the fender. I am now hearing a clunking noise when i hit a bump or make a sharp turn. I don't hear it all the time but am wondering if the strut is damaged. I know that due to the lowered ride hight of the car the struts will eventually wear out but being as how They are under alot of stress with my full car it is a possibility they can be damgaged. It could be that the people who installed my springs didn't tighten something good enough or that i have something damaged. Any suggestions on what i can check for damage and what to look for?

I heard this same problem on another board. I think it was the bump stops (or something like that) were installed wrong.
