to spring or to sway.. that is the question

Ive had my TEIN-S Techs springs along with the Tokico HP's for about a year now. Ive noticed that the ride has been getting softer in the turns. Now i know that the S-Techs are supposed to do that after a while since they don't have the greatest spring rates.. would upgrading the sway bar help any at all..??
Thanks in advance for any input.

absolutely. Springs dont really affect your turning ability. Sways will hold you flat and keep you planted. Already have a good strut bar?

"Already have a good strut bar?"

I take it that the stock one underpeforms?? Where would you suggest getting a good strut tower bar.

Once again, thanks for your input Matt.

i'd think a stock mp3/msp/p5/es strut bar would be fine and they are a dime a dozen.

upgrade that rear sway bar to an awr 21.5mm adjustable bar with included endlinks and you'll wonder how you were driving before without it. don't get the progress bar cause it's non-adjustable and doesn't come with endlinks. as for the strut tower bar, cpracing, like the one natey has, would tighten up that front end to improve turn-in. in the long run, you might want to ditch those s-techs and get some h&r's or eibach pro-kit. if a more adjustable suspension is what you want, get the illuminas with some good springs. if you want to go all out and have a good corner weight scale, then get some coilovers and adjust ride height accordingly. have fun!

A P5 without the hatch? That'd get damn cold up here in the winter, not to mention all of those poor groceries falling all over the place...

(sorry, couldn't help myself...)

i run:
s-techs, tockico HP,gt-spec: upper & lower front bars, sub-frame brace & trailing arms, mazdaspeed f/r swaybars, awr f/r endlinks, ssr competion 15" wheels and full front caster.... and i still say tires are what's performing in the corners

i say that because i have(intentionally) run the same 195/55 FM901 dunlops, 5 sets in 3 years,
from bone-stock on up through each individual upgrade and mixed the parts i have with
stock OE parts...just to see which pieces had what effect
nothing had as dramatic effect as the dif. between fresh and used rubber
so i'ld put money on tires, then

wheels...swaybars...struts...springs...bracing...t uning, in that order

then again i get goofy and am usualy wrong
