Question Mazda brake shoes

I have a 99 pro with drum brakes and it's time to replace the shoes. I inquired at a dealership about replacement shoes (part no. 49-240B?). Anyway, the parts guy didn't know if these where normal or premium quality brake pads, and said they only supply one type. Does anyone know any details about these brake shoes. Are they metallic or semi-metallic or something else. Do they have similar braking capabilities as none OEM brake pads. Are they worth the 68$ CDN they quoted.

Thanks, Kevin.
