replacing brake shoes help please

i'm replacing my rear brake shoes and i get everything back together and the drum will not go over the shoes. i can't find any adjuster or anything i put the old shoes back on and the drum goes back over those fine and the brakes work fine so i figure i'm missing something simple any help would be appreciated

Man i had that problem too. i'm not too sure what i did to fix it it's been awhile. There's something that you can put pressure on and it will bring the shoes closer in. it's in the left top area of the drum you push it to your right i believe, hope that helps if anyone has a pic and can point it out they should.

hmm.... I can't get the rear drum off... I loosened the parking brake and all that... do you need to take off the hub cap too?

Is it possible it's rusted on there?? Augh am I missing a step?
