How is the ride quality on a lowered car?
I was thinking about lowering my car but I have concerns. I have 18" wheels with 35 series tires and the ride is already a bit bouncy. How will it be with new lower spings?
Please advise me on your set-up and how the ride quality is?

35 offset is really really skinny, the skinnier u go, it gets more and more bumpier, and uncomfortable it is. U should try a 40, or 45. My protege is lowered 1.5" in the front, and like 1" in the back. I have 17's, and its super bumpy

your best bet is to link up with a friend and ya'll both install them. Shops are charging robbery prices just to install springs.
Ive got eibachs on my car too I love them. The install is easy..like aka said grab some friends and a spring compressor and go at it.
I did them myself took me about 2 hours...mainly because the guys that were helping me let my rear seat belt roll all the way up and I couldnt get it to go back to normal. Needless to say there was a lot of cussing going on.

Yes, DIY! There are how-to's on this, eg: http://www.clubprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3259
and if you run inot a problem you can always find someone online who has done it!
