I'm just rolling over 115,000 kms and still stopping great in my 2000 Pro. When I had it in for the 100,000k timing belt, the tech said it looked as if they had 20,000k left in them.

Screw grandma driving, it's all highway.

I am also using the car for Highway(mostly)! I drive 35-40kms a day at 80-120kph. Mostly comuter miles. But I did buy the car used at a Ford Dealer at ~25000kms and the original pads were on, as I had a brake inspection done after purchasing the car. But becasue it was a rental, I would have thought the brakes would have been toasted at 25000kms

My Dad has 140,000 km on his 99 LX and he's on the original pads.

When I bought my 02 P5 I retired my 92 Escort Wagon w/175K miles.

Then sold it for 700 bucks to a guy who's driven it from upstate NY to Florida and back TWICE, and drives everyday from Bennington to Saratoga (45 mi?? or so).

Been a damn good car.
