2 year old Apex coils for prot5...worth it?

i can get a set of Apex coils for my prot5 for real cheap

the only problem is that they are 2 years old...could this be a problem? are they "dead"? lost their "stiffness"?

i know Apex make good coils but are the long lasting?

Sorry, but I'm a little confused. Which APEX are refering too? APEXi of Japan or the other APEX that makes nothing but suspension stuff. APEXi of Japan to date does not make anything for Proteges.
